Since the inception of the “tea station” in my kitchen, I have wanted to hang coffee mugs underneath the tea display, but just never got around to doing it. The tea station is one of the first things you see when you walk into the house, so I wanted to make sure it was welcoming and organized. And for practical reasons, there should be cups for drinking when there is a beverage service area.
I had a wooden shelf lying around and so all I had to buy was a package of mug hooks and a sample size of the paint color I wanted (both for about $5). I primed and painted the wood, after drying, I marked the location of the hooks and the clock. Then I screwed in the hooks and tapped a small nail in for the sushi clock. Lastly, I marked and drilled two holes for the screws and mounted it to the wall. This project was simple and easy, I wish all of the projects were like this :)
