We live in a digital age where you can send out Facebook invites for a party and not even skip a beat. But I think there will always be something lovely and authentic about paper and physical items of beauty. I kind of LOVE that Pinterest makes many of us salivate over those chic little party photos and water colored art prints!
Enter Minted. A global community of independent graphic designers and an online store that prints and sells the best of their designs in the form of paper goods. Even though they literally have every category covered, Minted Photo Christmas Cards are still their most popular item.
They have a holiday card comparison tool where you can upload your photo and see it on a bunch of different photo cards; there are designers on staff that review and proof your card (checking for typos, photo quality, etc) and they send you a digital proof before printing.
Of course, being into entertaining and decor, I have my favorites from the Minted online shop that I want to share. So far, I am really into their art prints, table runners, and table signs!
Art Prints that Caught my Eye:
Not only can you see how the print looks framed, they’ve taken photos of what the various sizes look like in proportion to a human being and you can put the art piece (s) onto an art wall—that way you can visualize how various art pieces look together!
I had never thought about doing a customized paper table runner, so it was such an inspiration to see that! I would even use some of them as a banner in certain situations ; )
Frugal Thoughts and Tips:
The 6″ x 4″ table signs are cute and could possibly be re-used if the theme is broad enough! They could even be put into a standard frame and perch on your party tablescape, shielded from food debris. Also, if one were into word art (many people are now-a-days), this could even be a thrifty way of putting a favorite word into a beautifully pre-designed illustration that can be used as a framed art piece! I LOVE TWOFERS!!!!
This has been a delightful Saturday Something Special. I’ve gleaned a bunch of ideas by perusing Minted.com and I know you will too!
